The VSI-703 Trauma LMG is used by the Vault trauma team. The trauma teams are made up of 5 individuals who are given their choice of weapons, depending on their preferred fighting style. All trauma team members are fully-trained field medics, in the event that something disastrous occurs. This regularly does occur, hence the 5 medics.
